Is there no support to hack the OEM computer? My experience has been WOT tuning and keeping the engine safe was about 10% of the work. All the daily drivability, start up, accel pump action, and mpg work is the 90%. The OEM computer has thousands of hours of R&D on the hard part.

I would investigate with them if it were me. Like I said, the fully custom systems aren't too hard to get a handle on to keep the engine safe, but it's pretty easy to chase your tail on the drivability IMO.

For any EFI kit, 1st question to ask is if it can handle for 10 cyls. Most are setup for 4-6-8 only.
Even the throttle-body type EFI interacts with # of cyls, it has to know how to pulse the injectors. And 8 injectors on 10 cyls sounds like a fuel distribution nightmare to me. I would want a system to stay with the port injectors.
