I can't find the orginal thread, but someone mentioned that their console clip for holding the seatbelts was broken. I have a NOS one for my 69 Roadrunner project that I'm thinking of reproducing if there is enough of a market for it. I might make a mold and try to make them from industrial epoxy, but if there is a market for them there are plastic molding companies near my shop (also Ardog said he's done injection molding before so I'll see what he thinks), so it could happen that way....
Bob,..do you think the epoxy will accept a dye so i can color them like the plastic ones, and are you going to make the singles for the rear seats,as i would be interested in those also.

The part in the pic looks like the rear seat belt retainers? A double on one side & a single on the other mounted to the seat cushion at the front bottom? Looks like the ones on my Dart rear seat ( originals .
Same thing used on a concole? Or is it adifferent part? Just looks similiar?
The rear seat ones have been reproduced for a few years now.

I think I was one of those who mentioned broken seatbelt retainers. But mine dont look like that. On my centre console they are two separate units at the back of the console to hold the front belts as far as I know.
Where abouts do the double ones fit?
Lets see if I can do the photo thing again.

The double one should be in the rear seat,a little offset to the drivers side just above the carpet i do believe. This holds the middle and d/s buckle in place. There is also some single ones there. I got rid of my console, and now i have a B+M street shifter there, but i could adapt the double one that BOB showed to hold my belts there as they are just hanging off to the side now,and it don't look good.

Yeah, the double & 1 single screw to the rear seat bottom thru the vynil into the lower frame for the buckles to snap onto.
Maybe you could use two singles on the concole? The one difference I see is that yours must screw from the back side since I don't see any holes thru them, the others screw from the front with sheet metal screws into the frame.. Maybe just use a machine screw & nut instead on the concole?

The belt clip posted by 3ducks is exactly like the ones on my 71 Sport Fury. The other example is on my 69 Sport Fury. [ Edited Mon Jan 08 2007, 10:48PM ]
